What is ECU remapping and how does it work?

ECU remapping is the process of modifying the software within your engine's Electronic Control Unit to optimise performance. We adjust injection characteristics, air-to-fuel ratios, injection duration, fuel delivery and torque limiter settings, all within safe parameters. The result is a more efficient, more powerful engine that uses less fuel for the same (or greater) work output.

Will ECU remapping void my manufacturer warranty?

Our tuning adjusts ECU settings without altering core software, and we always stay within the manufacturer's safety zones. In most cases, this means your engine warranty remains intact. We also provide our own warranty on our software, plus a 30-day free trial period so you can test the performance completely risk-free. We always recommend checking with your specific equipment manufacturer for their warranty terms.

How much power can I expect from a remap?

Results vary by make, model and condition, but typically our customers see up to 30% more horsepower, up to 25% more torque (especially in the crucial low-to-mid RPM range), and up to 18% fuel savings. For example, a John Deere 8310R was tuned from 311hp stock to 360hp, with torque increasing from 1,452 Nm to 1,687 Nm. Is ECU tuning legal in Queensland?

Performance ECU tuning is legal in Queensland. DPF, EGR and AdBlue delete services are available for off-road machinery, agricultural equipment, and mining vehicles — not for registered on-road passenger vehicles, where emissions compliance is required by law. Can you tune a Toyota Hilux or LandCruiser?

Yes — the Hilux (GUN125/GUN126) and LandCruiser (200 Series, 79 Series, 300 Series) are among the most popular vehicles we tune. Hilux owners typically gain 20–30 kW with noticeably improved torque through the mid-range, making a real difference when towing or working loaded. LandCruiser remaps are especially effective for towing performance and fuel economy on long hauls. Light vehicle tunes are priced at $1,450 + GST with a 30-day trial included.
